Rory's School Lunches

Rory’s Lunches will operate the canteen services at Riverbanks College.  Rory’s Group will have a cafeteria set up onsite and will also have online ordering through the Qkr! app.

Rory’s School Lunches believes all students deserve healthy and nutritious food to support their growth and learning. That’s why they employ a team of qualified chefs to prepare fresh, delicious and healthy meals.

Our Menu

Our team of chefs cook the traditional way!  We take advantage of fresh herbs and spices to boost the flavour in our foods, and because our menu is delivered fresh daily, we don’t need to use harmful preservatives to extend its shelf life.

We cater to the fussiest of eaters by packing our delicious sauces full of veggies they won’t even see!  We also keep our menus fresh and updated, keeping it exciting for staff and students, encouraging them to try a different range of wholesome foods.  Parents can enjoy a guilt-free day off from making lunch, knowing that our lunches are not only affordable but fresh and healthy.

Ordering

Our full range menu is available to order on the QKR! app and is a guaranteed way to receive your favourite lunch options as well as meeting your dietary requirements.   Orders can be placed up to 2 weeks in advance until 8.30 am on the day the order is required.  The details on how to download and set up the app to order are on our menu.

Healthy Eating

Rory’s School Lunches menu complies with the South Australian government’s Right Bite Easy Guide to Food and Drink. It’s a traffic light system:

Green – Green foods can be eaten every day. They include foods:

  • with lean cuts of meat
  • offer low fat cheeses or dressings
  • are lower in saturated fat and sodium

Students are encouraged to eat green foods every day.

Amber – Amber foods are more processed than green foods (they may contain higher levels of fat, sugar and sodium). Parents and students are encouraged to choose carefully from this selection. Amber products should not dominate your choices.

Red – Red foods are highly processed, energy dense and nutrient poor. Remember, red foods should only be eaten occasionally, so we recommend you limit your intake and don’t eat them every day.
