This is BS! Why isn't a text sent to parents? Not everyone sits on Facebook 24/7. I dropped the kids off, then had to turn around to go back and get them, but I still could drive all the way from Fradd down Andrews Road to Riverbanks with no roadworks. This is an absolute joke. Working parents don’t have time for this.
Is this why my son was never picked up on Valiant Road this morning? Because the whole route has been changed? The Adelaide Metro website doesn't say anything about this.
Could anyone confirm if the kids are getting picked up according to this update or the metro site Im having a hard enough trouble getting my daughter to school on the bus. Yet alone all this detours I. Am. Struggling! 😭😭😭
🚧 Car Park Closure Notice - Saturday 7 February 🚧
Please be advised that the car park on Harvest Boulevard near the ELC will be closed all day this Saturday 7 February due to road works and re-marking at the entrance.
Thank you for your understanding while these works are completed. Please plan alternative parking arrangements if you are visiting the area.

Is the car park going to be open for Monday?
This year I found numerous cars parking in the disability spots with no sign of passes .I had a young mother park in the disability spot and I questioned her and she blatantly told me to F off ill park where I want to. No pass visable
Not sure why this work couldn't have been completed over the break.
You need to make more car parks as. The year 12, and soon the year 11 will be bringing there cars to soon. So you better be thinking about this soon. As you are going to have parents complaining about not a lot of parks to pick up their child or children.
When I drove past today, I cant see how the roadworks done will help with the bus service. Looks like the footpath was widened . Will the buses be parked on the dirt?

🚧 Roadworks Update – Bus Detour Extended 🚧
Due to delays in essential service works on Stebonheath Road, Munno Para West (between Hatcher Road and Dalkeith Road), the current bus detour will be extended until last service Friday 7 February 2026.
➡️ A new bus detour will commence from Monday 9 February 2026 and will remain in place until further notice.
🗺️ More information, including a map of the new detour, will be shared prior to the change.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Andrews Road is open (only the very end near Aldi is closed), so there's no need to detour from Hatcher Road. For the last two days, the bus has been coming straight from Andrews Road. These posts confuse parents and children about where the bus is picking them up and dropping them off. For the last three days, many children couldn't attend school because the bus always took different routes in the AM and PM (different from the map) or they had to walk a lot to their homes. My suggestion to the school is to please research all the routes and communicate with Metro. Thanks
Amelia Walters
Our daughter is catching the bus for the first time tomorrow. Hatcher's Rd is closest for us so she'll be happy. But yes, very confusing with all the road works. You'd think they'd conduct their works (as best can) at night time for the least disruption to the public. 🧐

There was heaps of kids waiting along Andrew’s rd this morning, in the work zone. I hope they all got picked up as on my way back there was one girl still waiting
Whoever made this map deserves a metal 👏 the way the school and the bus service explain it makes me feel dumb, so hard to follow 😵💫
I reckon Andrews Road from Angle Vale is open now. Why isn't the bus following the old route, straight to Andrews Road, with one stop at Hatcher and another at Ascot Avenue? Due to the different routes, it's hard for children to decide where they have to get off, and they've walked a lot in this hot weather.
So this detour goes until the end of this week. Is there another map for when the new detour starts next week?
It’s no different to 488 because Harris rd is closed so the bus isn’t going down bubner & Harris rd.
Hasn't this been the same for the past 6 months? 🤦
If this is the info also on the metro website why don’t the 489 go down valiant route as on Tuesday? I know the school are only relaying info from metro but if the buses don’t run correctly given the lack of public transport options in the area this creates a barrier to children attending school and my other concern is children at the bus stops not knowing what is going on or what to do if there’s issues etc
Why can't council sort this out before school goes back. Workers standing around all day doing nothing, knocking off early, not working on the weekend. Just get it done so we can get in and out of this hell hole of a subdivision
The road is literally still open 🙄
Welcome back, Year 12s! 🎓💙

Here’s to an incredible final year filled with memories, milestones and making the most of every moment. We’re so glad to have you back! 💪✨

When does school start back up?
My kids are in 10 and 12 this year, I don't believe that they have used 90% of what I bought them in 2023 and haven't bought anything since. There is too much focus on the kids using their laptops in every class.
Why do we have to buy laptops? Gawler districts didnt make me buy one when my older son went there yet we have to buy one at Riverbanks.
Whats EIF lol
