🚧 Bus Service Update – Route 488 🚧
Please be advised that due to ROAD RECONSTRUCTION WORKS, Harris Road, Angle Vale will be CLOSED from first service on Monday 1 June 2026 until last service on Thursday 9 July 2026.
During this time, the Route 488 School Service will detour via:
➡️ Angle Vale Road
➡️ Short Road
➡️ Then continue normal route
❗ Missed Stops:
• Bubner Road
• Harris Road
• Chivell Road
Students requiring pickup or drop-off should use Angle Vale Road or Short Road instead. As this is a hail and ride service, pickups/set-downs can occur at a safe location along Angle Vale Road if requested.

🚧 Important Bus Route Update – Route 489 Detour 🚌
Due to essential service works, Stebonheath Road, Munno Para West (between Brandis Road and Hatcher Road) will be closed to all traffic, including buses, from first service Monday 27 April 2026 until further notice.
As a result, Route 489 school services to and from Riverbanks College B-12 will follow a detour via Andrews Road, Hatcher Road, Dalkeith Road and Angle Vale Road.
✅ Good news:
- No bus stops will be missed during this time.
- Students may hail the bus anywhere along the detour route, and drivers will stop to pick them up.
- Some minor delays may occur.
Thank you for your patience while these works are underway. Please allow a little extra travel time where possible.

⏰ Friendly Reminder: Early Dismissal Tomorrow
Tomorrow is the final day of Term 1 and students will be dismissed at 2:15 pm.
🚌 All buses, including Adelaide Metro services, will depart at 2:30 pm.
🏫 OSHC will be available from 2:15 pm.
If your child is unable to be collected at the earlier time and requires supervision until 3:10 pm, please contact Reception to arrange support.

Riverbanks College proudly celebrated a very special milestone — our first-ever Year 12 Formal — held at the beautiful Crowne Plaza Mawson Lakes.
It was a fantastic evening filled with style, laughter, music, and unforgettable memories as our Year 12 students came together to celebrate their final year in such a meaningful way. From the elegant outfits to the lively dance floor and wonderful atmosphere, the night truly captured the spirit of this incredible cohort.

🚧 Temporary Bus Route Changes – Thursday 26 March to Friday 27 March 2026 🚍
Due to road resurfacing works on Edgecombe Road, Davoren Park, the section between Cawres Street and Stebonheath Road will be closed to all traffic, including buses, from the first service Thursday 26 March until the last service Friday 27 March.
This will affect bus routes 451, 451A and 490, including services travelling to and from Riverbanks College.
Missed bus stops during this time:
• Stop 74 Edgecombe Road (North Side) → please use Stop 73 Peachey Road
• Stop 74 Edgecombe Road (South Side) → please use Stop 74B East Parkway
• Stop 74A Edgecombe Road (North Side) → service terminates at Stop 74B East Parkway
Families and students who use these services are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time where possible.

🧡 Wear It Orange Day - Harmony Week Celebration! 🧡
Just a reminder tomorrow is they day you get to wear a splash of orange – whether it’s a t-shirt, socks, ribbons, hats, or anything else – to show support for inclusiveness, respect, and unity. Let’s celebrate our diverse backgrounds and the sense of belonging that makes Australia so special!
Please note this is not a casual clothes day and students are to wear school uniform unless they are wearing orange or cultural dress.
