Will there be alternative bus stops on Stebonheath Rd and Dalkeith Rd or will it just be a hail and ride type situation? None of my kids catch the busses but I feel it's important for those who do to know.
How come I live there and have not been advised that Andrew’s rd will be closed for more than a month…. There’s a lot of kids that use those stops and that’s quite a distance to catch the bus…
Is it only for the week or the month? The post says a month but the email says a week
So the bus will drop the children at the end of Fradd East Road, towards the Andrews Road side, and they can walk home from there(those lives on Andrews Road)??? Does anyone have bus stopping map please share . Thanks
Traffic will be hell at Curtis Rd end
www.facebook.com/share/p/1EBMsZP7kx/ Letters went out to residents from SA water that had a link to register for updates. It's a massive project not due to finish till 2026 as per the link Hail n ride anywhere along Fradd east, stebonheath and Dalkeith roads. Id suggest contacting Adelaide Metro for further Bus information Edited to add,you can also subscribe to 489 updates on the Adelaide metro site if you haven't already. Link attached. Hopefully that helps too π www.adelaidemetro.com.au/routes/489

Road safety, Letβs play our part!
Remember to:
slow down to 25kph around the school when children are present
ensure children exit the vehicle onto the footpath side
remind children to use the school crossing
Ensure pedestrians are given right of way at all crossings β including crossings at traffic lights on Angle Vale Road
be kind to one another.
Let's keep our school zone safe and sound!
#DriveSafe #SchoolZoneSafety

I seen the metro bus 489 drive through the school crossing this morning whilst a child was crossing. I will report it but this needs policing before someone's child gets hurt or killed.
School traffic is ridiculous, imagine what will happen in a few months when the year 11s are driving and parking
Why is there only 1 main Rd in and out
It was such a silly idea to place a school with space for (I'm assuming) 1500 students in a place where it could only have 1 road in and out with limited space to move out the way of emergency service vehicles it would have to be a huge safety risk. I am in no way blaming the school, it was the initial planning that was the issue here.
And don’t stop in the middle of the road so your kids can quickly jump out of the car! Park like the rest of us!
25km is not a problem when you can't move stuck in traffic!!!
It's funny that you think we can go faster than 25km π€£π€£ Takes 30 mins to pick your kid up and get out of there.
Only going to get worse every year as the student intake increases. One road in/out... it's a sh*t show daily
π₯ I'm so glad that my son has always used the School Buses. I have never really had to pick him up from School and deal with all the traffic problems and craziness. π βοΈ It is much worse at many other schools, ..so I just keep away from any school areas, especially during peak times. πππ¦πΊπ¦πΊ #whoohoo
Might be helpful to have crossing monitors stop pedestrians now and then to let the traffic flow through so the cars don’t bank up for miles. I’ve seen pedestrians at the crossing go back and forth like it’s a game. Or they stand there in a group chatting, not actually crossing but the cars all stop because they think the group is crossing. Which again causes traffic congestion. Anyway, just a thought.
Can we please get this road to connect direct to Curtis road for the ultimate traffic double?
Hi everyone thought it was worth a shot on here but my daughter was approached by a man near the school I’ve done some research and contacted the police we live right near the school please go onto my profile and share for me Thanks
